The clicking of memories and time

To accompany the exhibition Zhang Jian-Jun: Human Traces (“Exhibition”), you are welcome to join our customised workshop to explore the perpetual themes conveyed in the Exhibition (“Workshop”). You can each take home not just a functional clock that keeps time, but a delicate “time capsule which connects the dots in your life and leaves eternal traces.

To leave your memory traces inside the clock, you are highly encouraged to bring along some memorable items. (Tips: small and flat items such as stamps, movie tickets, etc.).

Please register in advance to secure your place. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis. 
No prior art experience is required. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Note:

  1. Art materials for the Workshop will be provided by the Organiser and a participant is required to bring a memorable item for making the product (Tips: small and flat items such as stamps, movie tickets, etc.). The finished product will be approximately with 14.5cm diameter.
  2. Participants will receive the touched up finished product by mail in approximately one week after the relevant Workshop at the delivery address to be provided by the relevant participant during the Workshop.
  3. If a child under the age of 12 attends the Workshop with an accompanying adult, the adult will be exempted from paying the Fee provided that only one set of art materials will be provided for making one product only.

 

Terms and conditions

  1. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email upon registration.
  2. Please arrive at the Venue 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time and present the confirmation email for check-in.
  3. No refunds on Fee paid will be made (including absentee) except in the circumstances when the Workshop is being cancelled or postponed by the Organiser. Participants will be notified by email for such cases.
  4. The Organiser shall be entitled to take photos in the Workshop and use such photos for archival, promotional or other related purposes as it deems fit and appropriate.
  5. If the Workshop has to be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, our staff will notify the participants as soon as possible. In general, if a typhoon signal no. 8 or above or red/black rainstorm is hoisted or still hoisted at or after 8:00 am, the Workshop held at 6:00pm or before on such day will be cancelled.
  6. If a Workshop has to be cancelled or rescheduled due to social distancing measures or prohibition of similar events under relevant laws and regulations, our staff will notify the participants as soon as possible. Please comply with social distancing measures and all other applicable laws and regulations.
  7. In any circumstances, no pets are allowed to enter the Exhibition venue, including the Workshop area.
  8. In any circumstances, no eating or drinking is allowed in the Exhibition venue and the Workshop area.
  9. All participants are required to comply with the instructions given by on-site staff from time to time.
  10. The Organiser has the right to amend any of these terms and conditions without any prior notice.
  11. The Organiser has the absolute right to interpret these terms and conditions. In case of any disputes, the decision of the Organiser shall be final and binding on all parties concerned.
