Disruptive Matter

Anouchka van Driel works along the breadth of the cultural sector, most recently as curator and creative director for design and art projects following a role as mediator and connector within public policy and cultural strategy. She holds a bachelor degree in design (ArtEZ University of Arts) and a master degree in visual sociology (Goldsmiths University of London). She is originally from the Netherlands has been based in Beijing since 2005.

From 2006 to 2011 she worked as programme manager for NORDOX, Nordic Documentary Film Festival Beijing. In 2011 she was project manager for Dutch Design Fashion Architecture. Since 2012 she worked as Senior Cultural Affairs Officer at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Beijing. From 2017 – 2019 she worked as creative content manager for K11’s North China art spaces in Beijing, Shenyang and Tianjin. Most recently she co-curated the exhibition “Social Design: Learning at Play” with People’s Architecture Office at Shenzhen’s Design Society.
